The team were called at 19:20 to a report of two walkers lost on Kinder. The initial call to Police did not provide any location data, and it had not been possible to recontact the casualty party. Therefore, a search pre-plan involving Buxton MRT, Glossop, MRT, Edale MRT, and the SARDA search dogs was initiated.

Thankfully, whilst initial deployment was underway, the casualty party made a further 999 call, and this time it was possible to obtain their location. This put them on Kinder plateau, roughly between Kinder Gates and the 636 spot height. As this was within the Kinder MRT operational area, the other teams were stood down with thanks.

Two hill parties made their way to the location provided and found the casualties at around 21:20. Both casualties were cold and wet, but otherwise unharmed. After some warming with an emergency shelter, hot drinks, and extra clothing both casualties were walked back to the team vehicles at Edale Cross and returned to their car. A good outcome to what could have become a protracted incident with significant risk of hypothermia for the casualties.

The team were packed up and stood down by 01:00, in time for a few hours sleep before work.
