Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is pleased to confirm that the Cracken Edge Fell Race will return on Wednesday 4 August 2027, following another successful event in 2026.
Last year's race saw 196 runners take on the 7-mile course, enjoying some great racing and, despite a slightly ominous forecast, near-perfect conditions once the race was underway.
Starting and finishing in Hayfield, the race covers 11.3km (7 miles) with 442m (1,450ft) of climbing, taking runners up onto Cracken Edge before returning to the village. The race is an FRA category BM event and is open to runners aged 18 and over.
