The team were delighted to be able to welcome the family of Hannah Lowe to our base in Hayfield today. Hannah tragically lost her life at Kinder Downfall in April of this year but, following the incident, her family and friends have undertaken a simply astounding series of fund-raising events for the team, in honour of Hannah. Two of the most recent and significant purchases enabled by this fund-raising are a training defibrillator and a new SAR rescue stretcher, named ‘Hannah’ in her memory. Hannah’s family visited to meet some of the team, tour the base and take part in an informal hand-over’ of the stretcher. A tragic event for Hannah’s family, this has also been an incredibly emotional experience for the team and the two will forever be connected, not least through this very fitting tribute.
We understand that Hannah’s partner Adam, who has already undertaken some amazing fund-raising feats, has more ‘crazy’ plans up his sleeve. Thank you Adam, and to the rest of Hannah’s family, friends and to all the teachers, parents and children at Sharon Lowe’s school for all the money raised. Thank you for helping us to continue helping others.
