Today trainees from all seven Peak District Mountain Rescue teams attended a ‘regional’ familiarisation training session with HM Coastguard at Camphill Gliding Club.
It is essential that all mountain rescue members learn and know how to operate safely in and around the aircraft. Learning to cope with the ‘downwash’ created by the S92 helicopter is definitely an experience.
Thanks to the crew of Rescue 912 for today’s training and to Great Hucklow Gliding Club for allowing us to use their airfield.
