The team have been able to undertake a very limited number of necessary face-to-face training sessions during the last 12 months; these are conducted using the bare-minimum number of team members with suitable COVID19 – compliant PPE with safety and decontamination measures in place.

‘Core Skill’ training is an essential requirement for the team to be able to remain effective and offering an efficient rescue service.
Today was the first time, since the latest lockdown commenced, that team members were able to carry out some practical core ropework skills. Split into two separate small cohort groups, members were able to get ‘hands on’ with kit and practiced a number of techniques required for steep ground rescue work.
