The team received a call to assist the air ambulance with a casualty in Happy Valley, Bramhall. The casualty had slipped and badly injured her ankle. She was still some distance from the road, so our help was requested to carry her to a land ambulance. We responded with two vehicles and team members to help carry her on our Mountain Rescue stretcher. However, just as our team members were arriving at the RV, we heard that the crew had decided it would be better to fly her hospital and that they had enough people on scene now to get her in to the helicopter. We were stood down and returned back to base. We wish the lady a speedy recovery.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
