Glossop Mountain Rescue team requested our assistance to help with a search for a missing walker who was believed to be struggling in deep snow on Bleaklow. As we arrived at Snake summit we were informed that the casualty had been located, but he was hypothermic and it was going to be a long stretcher ride back from the middle of Bleaklow. We were joined by members of Edale Mountain Rescue team and made our way to help with the carry off. The casualty was sledged through deep snow until he was finally able to be handed over to an ambulance.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
