The team were deployed to a fell runner who had been out with friends in Lyme Park, whilst running through Lantern Woods she had slipped and injured her ankle and was unable to continue. Due to her location North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) asked us to assist.
Team members located and assess the runner before splinting her ankle, loading her onto our stretcher and wheeling her down to the car park for onward travel to hospital. Our thanks to the National Trust Staff and Rangers for your support and assistance during the call out.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
