The team were requested to attend an urgent incident in Alderley Edge to help an ambulance crew with a patient who had been observed taking a significant fall from a cliff face. The call came to us as the ambulance crew had just been despatched. We began mobilising to deploy our vehicles and rope rescue equipment, however once the ambulance crew arrived on scene, it became apparent that the casualty only had minor injuries and our help was not required. We were stood down on route.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
