On Saturday afternoon Glossop MRT were tasked to a party of three in Torside Clough, one of the party had sustained a leg injury after slip on some steep ground. Due to the casualties location and injuries Glossop MRT requested some additional assistance with transporting the casualty off the hill.
We sent a party of five team members in one of our Landovers alongside further personnel from Woodhead MRT, as we were on route Glossop MRT completed the extrication of the casualties utilising a twin rope rescue system. Once on scene we assisted in wheeling the casualty on a stretcher to Glossop Low where they had a short ride in Glossop MRTs 4×4 Ambulance before being handed over to a road ambulance crew. Helimed had also been on scene but was tasked to a higher priority call.
Another multi team, multi agency tasking, thank you to all those involved.
