The team were request to assist an East Midlands Ambulance Service crew with a casualty who had fallen in to a river near Buxworth. The casualty had injured themselves and was unable to get out. As the crew were unsure if they were going to be able to recover the casualty, they request our assistance.
Fortunately the ambulance crew were able to move the casualty to dry ground, so they stood us down before we reached the site.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
