We were called to assist a gentleman who had developed a leg condition that meant he was no longer able to walk. His location was on the main path above Jacob’s Ladder.
We assessed and treated the casualty and then evacuated him by stretcher to our vehicles at Edale Cross. He was driven down to our base with his friend whilst the remainder of his group walked down to their cars in Edale. After further assessment at base we were able to discharge the casualty to the care of his friends.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
