A member of the public found what appeared to be an abandoned rucksack just above Kinder reservoir. Derbyshire police asked us to investigate in case there was someone in trouble nearby. We went to the location provided, but the rucksack wasn’t there. We then conducted a 300m radius line search around the location, with nothing found. The police agreed that this was a sufficient and proportionate response and that we should stand down.

Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
