The team were requested to assist East Midlands Ambulance service with an injured walker on Eccles Pike, in between Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith. A lady had slipped near the top and dislocated her ankle. The ambulance crew were on their way, but it was clear that they would require assistance to move the casualty over the rough ground.
Once the lady have been given pain relief by the ambulance crew we were able to package her on a Mountain Rescue stretcher and carry her the short distance to the waiting ambulance.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
