The team were called at 21:54 to a report that a walker on Kinder was overdue. With the assistance of the PDMRO controller, a significant search operation was being planned involving neighbouring teams, the Police, and the Police helicopter.
Thankfully, just before team members were about to set off onto the hill we received a further report that the missing person had managed to find their own way down to safety.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers, who give their time free of charge, and it is funded entirely by public donations.
