As we were debriefing the previous callout at our base, a call came in requesting assistance for a pair of walkers who had left Hayfield heading for Kinder Downfall and were now unsure of their location. The Police fixed wing aircraft, (NPAS) was still in the area and thought they had seen a pair of walkers matching the description on the southern edges. As most of our team were already at base we immediately began deploying up the Edale Cross track again. Fortunately we were soon able to make phone contact with the pair. A PhoneFind placed their actual location as the northern edges, just over a kilometre from the previous incident. As Glossop team were still on their way back from their previous search and still fairly close by, we handed the call over to them to escort the pair back to their vehicle in Hayfield. Kinder 1 were recalled back to base again without actually making up to the top.
