We were contacted to rescue an injured walker with a suspected fractured ankle, in the Edale Rocks / Swinesback area of Kinder Scout. The location was confirmed using PhoneFind technology to obtain it from the GPS in her phone. Hill parties were despatched to stretcher the walker down to our vehicles at the top of Jacobs Ladder, from where she was driven down to the ambulance in Hayfield.
We wish her a speedy recovery and also thank the passing walkers who made the call for help and stayed with her until we arrived.
