We were called to assist the East Midlands Ambulance Service with an injured casualty on Kinder. The gentleman had fallen at the bottom of William Clough and sustained a serious arm injury. There was no phone signal, so a passing walker went a significant distance to obtain a signal and phone for help. We believe two fell runners did the same. The team deployed with one of our team paramedics in our fast response party. We provided treatment (splinting and pain relief) and evacuated the casualty on our stretcher to the Filter House. We transferred the casualty to the waiting EMAS ambulance.
