The team received a request for assistance from the ambulance service. A man had had slipped in the mud and badly fractured his ankle while walking in Mousley Bottom. Although the location wasn’t far from the ambulance, the crew were unable to move him as their trolley is not suitable for these conditions. Kinder team responded with personnel and our rescue stretcher. We then carried the patient back to the ambulance for onward transport to hospital. We would like to pass on our best wishes to the gentleman and compliment him on his good spirits while having his ankle straightened by the ambulance crew.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
