The Team were callout by the Duty Controller at 20:45 with a request to provide assistance to Derbyshire Police in search for a missing person in the New Mills area, the police also asked for drone support which we requested from Buxton MRT.
As the team search managers were formulating a plan and team members were heading to base the duty controller called again to report Derbyshire police had managed to locate the missing person in the area we had identified to search.
The team were stood down, a short callout out by a good result.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
