The team were called to a couple who were walking on Kinder Scout. They were making their way up Jacobs Ladder and were near the top when one of them had a problem with their knee. He was unable to continue up hill and in too much pain to make his way back down, so they called for our assistance.
We deployed a couple of vehicles to the top of Edale Cross and team members were able to quickly make their way down to their location. After a quick examination, it was decided the best option would be to carry them down in to Edale. We were then able to take them on to their vehicle to allow them to go to a local A&E for further investigation.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
