Three walkers from Manchester had undertaken a walk on the Kinder Scout and during their descent had become benighted and unsure of their route had requested assistance via Derbyshire Police, providing them with some location information, then remained at the location. The team were deployed onto the lower slopes toward their reported position and found the party, all fit and well just a little cold. The casualties and team members were transported back to our base for warming and a lift to the train station for their journey home.
