We were asked to assist two walkers and their dog who were benighted on the Old Pennine Way, in from Crowden Tower. They were cold and disoriented, but otherwise uninjured. Fortunately, we had a PhoneFind location. We deployed Kinder 1 to the casualty site, with Kinder 2 and 3 following for support.

After some rewarming, we were able to walk the casualty party to our vehicles at Edale Cross. We drove them down to Hayfield and round to their own vehicle in Edale.

Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
