
The team were deployed on our third callout in a little over 24 hours late on Saturday evening, a wild camper had become unwell and required some assistance, they were located in the Cluther Rocks area of Kinder Scout.
Two hill parties were driven to Moorgate where they walked into the casualty location. Our Remote Rescue Medical Technicians completed an initial assessment and observations, following conversation with the casualty the it was decide the best course of action was to assist them off the hill.
A third hill party were deployed with our Mountain Rescue Stretcher package to enable us to safety transport casualty to our team vehicles. Once on scene the casualty was package into our casualty bag and their tent packed away before the two hour carry off back to Moorgate and the team mobiles for the drive back to Kinder Base.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers, who give their time free of charge, and it is funded entirely by public donations.
