A group of three males set out for an evening walk on Kinder.  Unfortunately they became disorientated and lost their route.  The cloud base was low, visibility was poor and they struggled to find the way down in the dark.   

Eventually after a cold night wandering around on the tops they managed to find their way to William Clough and started to make their way down.  They found it too difficult to descend William Clough in the dark and after a few minor falls, became stuck at one of the steeper sections and called for help.

We managed to find their position by polling the GPS on their phone and soon had Kinder 1 on the way.  They found the casualties cold, but unhurt and along with Kinder 2, escorted them off the hill.

Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers, who give their time free of charge, and it is funded entirely by public donations.
