In another busy weekend for the team, we dealt with three more incidents. The first incident of the weekend occurred on Saturday afternoon. A group of people had been bouldering in the Woolpacks. One of them had an accident and badly fractured his ankle. As this was a serious break, an Air Ambulance was despatched. The casualty was given strong pain relief while the break was treated by the helimed doctor. Kinder team members arrived on scene to help carry the man in to the Air Ambulance.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
