The team received a request for assistance from Buxton MRT to help search for a walker who had called in with a medical incident. The location was given as the bridge at the bottom of Jacob’s Ladder in Edale. Buxton team had quickly made their way there, but couldn’t find the casualty and the ambulance desk were unable to get a mobile phone number with the call. They began searching the area and asked us to help by searching the areas around the top of Jacob’s Ladder, Edale Cross and the Southern Edge path. After completing a full search of the area, no sign of the informant was found. We assume they must have made their way down in to Edale and back to their vehicle.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team is staffed by volunteers who give their time free of charge and is funded entirely by public donations.
